YAP.cx

branding, mural design, print design, signage

I rebranded YAP.cx (formerly Échange de Montréal), a crypto and foreign currency exchange in downtown Montreal.

The name “Yap” comes from a tiny group of islands in Micronesia , famous for having the largest and heaviest currency in the world – they exchange large disks, carved out of limestone, by orally transferring ownership between people. The founders thought this was a great metaphor for cryptocurrency.

I developed proprietary icons, interior and exterior signage, stock imagery, business cards, stickers, and a bilingual info-mural for the retail interior.
