Chefs Suji and Kai opened a restaurant in Woodland, CA in January 2019 to share their interpretation of classic dishes from Korea and Hawaii.
Our main challenge was introducing unfamiliar food, such as Musubi (Hawaiian) and Japchae (Korean) to the suburban Californian palette.
The menu had to be accessible and easy to understand, but not talk down to the customer.
They’ve been packed since they opened in January 2019. If you’re ever driving between Sacramento and the Bay, stop by for lunch. It’s worth it.
